Bob Danley originally shared: Orange Sulphur (Pontia eurytheme) is a common butterfly over most of the U.S. (Brock and Kaufman 2003). The orange is muted (color on upperwing only-left photo) on perched individuals, but is well seen in flight (center photo). Combined with green, yellow and pink this species is dazzling :-) Small numbers of females are washed out to white (right photo likely this species).
